If you want Faceless Forge to upload and schedule videos directly to your YouTube channel, you need to connect your YouTube account. This is a **one-time setup** and usually takes around **5 minutes**.
What You'll Need
You will need:
- A Google/YouTube account with access to the channel you want to connect.
- Your YouTube API key.
- The YouTube connection helper is provided with Faceless Forge.
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Create Your YouTube API Key
Follow the instructions provided in the CONNECT-YOUR-YOUTUBE.md guide to create a free YouTube API key through your own Google account.
Step 2: Connect Your YouTube Account
Once you have completed the initial setup, run the ff-connect-youtube.py helper.
The helper will open your browser and ask you to sign in to your Google/YouTube account.
Select the YouTube channel you want to connect and click Allow when prompted.
Once the connection is successful, the terminal will display:
✓ Connected: <your channel>
Your Faceless Forge agent is now connected to your YouTube channel.
Important Information
- One-time setup: You only need to complete the connection process once.
- Upload access: Faceless Forge can upload and schedule videos to your connected channel.
- No video deletion: The connection does not give the agent permission to delete your YouTube videos.
- Google verification message: You may see a Google message saying that the app is not verified. This can occur because you are using your own Google API credentials. Follow the instructions shown on the screen to continue if you trust the setup.
- Your credentials remain under your control: Your Google account and API credentials are yours, and the connection process is performed through your own Google account.
